"Bride of the Wind" is a very appropriate description of Alma Schindler Mahler, the wife of Gustav Mahler. Like the wind, Alma was really never able to settle down, always moving from one man to another.
Bride of the Wind drags for its length, and Alma, rather than being the proto-feminist the film wants her to be, comes across more as a dilettante of mediocre talent. 11% TOMATOMETER
The Alma Mahler depicted in "Bride of the Wind" is a woman who prowls restlessly through the beds of the famous, making them miserable while displaying no charm of her own. Whether this was the case with the real woman I do not know.
